London restaurant Firedog is vowing to end the avocado craze once and for all by implementing a strict no-avocado policy on its menu.

The reason: The restaurant admits to having grown truly weary of the green fruit.
“Our mission is to reinvigorate the morning dining scene in London, which has done avocado to death, and we’re frankly bored of seeing it on every breakfast and brunch menu,” George Notley, executive chef at Firedog, told The Independent .
Notley isn’t wrong—avocados have stolen the brunch spotlight for quite a while. Avocados have been a dominant food trend since 2015, with even avocado roses gaining popularity in the past year.
Instead of relying on crowd-pleasing avocados for its menu, the Aegean-inspired restaurant in Fitzrovia will instead serve brunch with other superfoods, such as fennel and pomegranate.
“The ever-evolving cooking methods used in Aegean street food inspired us to create a colorful menu rich in interesting flavors and fresh ingredients—all without an avocado in sight,” Notley said.
But for those still jonesing for a green-fix, fret not. Amsterdam will soon be home to a restaurant that features, you guessed it, only avocados.
